VERSAILLES SERIES by JB Berkow

The inspiration for this series came on her first trip to the famous palace in 1993. It was a miserable overcast day, but she was so stirred by the elegance and majesty of the statuary, especially those of the fountains that she knew it would eventually spawn a series. Six years later, after fully realizing what form her paintings would take, she returned to shoot all the photos necessary to complete the project. It is not unusual for JB to take years to fully formulate a vision before actually commencing the work.
