EDWARD LUPPER — There are artists who run with the pack, painting whatever is enough to be called "originals." Then there is Edward Lupper. Freshness and innocence combined with his limitless imagination create a world where all the beasts and birds of the realm live side-by-side in joyful harmony.
A resident of the Palm Springs area, Edward Lupper attended art schools in both New York and California. However, his present technique is largely self-taught. Carefully controlled brushwork using smooth applications of casein and oil has become his signature style. Mr. Lupper's fanciful menagerie has homes in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia and Asia.
Edward Lupper has been listed in "Who's Who in American Art" for several decades and celebrated forty years as a self-supporting artist in March 2003. Edward has paintings in various public collections, such as the DiRosa Collection of Contemporary Art in California, the famed Teddy Bear Museum in Naples, Florida, the Los Angeles Maritime Museum and has been exhibited at the U.S. Embassy in Belgium and various corporate venues.
Because of the complicated, time-consuming technique Edward Lupper uses, his inventory of paintings is limited but he looks forward to creating his delightful artworks for many years to come. Keeping you amused, charmed and young at heart is what Edward Lupper does best. A soothing change from a tension-filled world, Edward Lupper's paintings generate the ultimate masterpiece — a smile.
