Samir Sammoun

"Taking Post Impressionism to New Heights"

Ed Chasen Fine Art is excited to share with you new gallery artist Samir Sammoun.

Samir Sammoun was born in the Chouf Mountains, south of Beirut in Lebanon. Since then his world has changed many times and along with becoming a higlhly professional telecommunications engineer in Montreal, Quebec, he has also become a highly regarded post Impressionist painter.

He is a landscape artist with a vast repertoire of themes, apple trees in bloom, wheat fields, olive trees, and rows of lupins. As a painter Samir Sammoun attempts to make his audience feel the wind blow through the trees, the heat in the air and the colour of the sky.

His palette is rich and varied and at times can be made up of 30 different shades and tones of colour.

Samir Sammoun's work celebrates the joy of being alive. Being alive and feeling with all our senses.

Vincent Van Gogh is Samir Sammoun's greatest artistic influence, an influence that Samir Sammoun feels is so strong that he believes his artistic evolution is propelled by the same influences that moved Van Gogh.
